Robert Chen

Robert Chen opened AACCT, his first non-profit community-focused table tennis facility on Broadway just below Canal Street in 2014.  The ever-increasing rental prices for real estate have caused him to move multiple times since then, with the latest re-incarnation being NYTTF in Long Island City.

Over the years, in addition to table tennis, he has offered summer schools for children, teaching not only table tennis, but photography, cinematography and music production. Previous spaces were used for events, martial arts practice, dance classes, hospitality industry job training, and more.

Robert made many trips to China studying the best table tennis training techniques, both to improve his own play, but more importantly to gain skills as a table tennis coach.  Many high-level table tennis players, including Olympians and professional players from all over the world have come to Robert's clubs.  Some have given demonstrations and others have served as featured guest coaches, something that is sure to continue in the future.
